Christians for Social Justice...
Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend a Christians for Social Justice meeting here in Phnom Penh. The group consists of several expats & Khmei people from various NGO's in Cambodia. I've already witnessed injustice firsthand and was eager to find out more. Throughout the 2 hour meeting, my mind was blown by information about injustices in this country. Reports were shared about women who are imprisoned, that have children living with them. Or a man who bought a stolen moto (he didn't know it was stolen), was arrested and now has been in jail for 7 years, with no signs of being released any time soon... Information about a major cell phone company tapping NGO phone lines. Some work is being done by LICADHO, one of the only Human Rights NGO's in Cambodia. I left with a bit of hope, but mostly an overwhelming question,"Where is justice in this place?"

We in the USA have very little comprehension of the injustices many persons in the rest of the world experience-Thanks for sharing your insights and arousing our awareness and pricking our conscience.
